Steve established the Pisces laboratory and developed procedures; conducts analysis for BOD, TSS, NO2, NO3, Ammonia-N, total Inorganic Nitrogen (TIN), Total Nitrogen, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Phosphorus and Coliform species.
Experience
At the City of Midland, Michigan, worked extensively in their municipal WWTP lab, conducted laboratory analysis for required NPDES conventional WWTP pollutants (BOD, TSS, P, N, Coliform, pH, solids determinations, etc.
Assistant Superintendent and Plant Chemist at City of Midland Wastewater Treatment Plant. Took over responsible charge of WWTP Operations and conducted non-routine analysis.
Superintendent of Midland WWTP with overall responsibility for all aspects of the department's operation and maintenance, including the laboratory.
Permit compliance work for the City of Charlevoix WWTP. Wrote Laboratory Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manual and updated lab procedures.

Member of the Adjunct Faculty at Delta College, teaching course work in the Water Environment Technology Curicculum-Introductory Water Technology, Introductory Wastewater Technology, Advanced Water Technology, Advanced Wastewater Technology, Water & Wastewater Microbiology, Water & Wastewater Management.
Numerous certificates awarded by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, including Class "A" Sewage Treatment Works Operator Certification.
